Congratulations For Receiving The Community Involvement Award

Rich P

This past Saturday, May 26th Al Jones Marketing & Done As Legends put on it's North Eastern Small Business Networking Extravaganza. The event took place in downtown Akron at the main library. If you're not familiar with the networking events and opportunities put on by businessmen Al Jones and entrepreneur Adreyan Martin then you don't know what you are missing.

This past Saturday's event was classy and professional which is typical as it pertains to these two brotha's effort. Movers and shakers from the entire Akron Ohio experience were in attendance. Tim Anderson Jr. aka "Rich P" (and his Fallen Fathers Foundation) who is known for his community activism and outreach was honored with the Community Involvement Award along with AkronHipHop's Hiram Akeem.

All in all, big ups to my brotha's Al and Adreyan for taking the time and having the vision to keep pushing the networking envelope. This city and its budding entrepreneurs are in need of more consistent networking opportunities like yours. Posted above you'll find my quick conversation with Rich P at the event. Until next time, have some fun and get something done.

Rich P Talking Black Ownership

Rich P

When thinking about black businesses in our city many things should come to mind. When talking to Rich P you'll hear him recite a few things that the average brotha may not bring up. One of those things is the importance of  "us" literally owning the businesses that reside in our community.

One day Rich P and I met up on the corner of V.Odom Blvd. and Hawkins Avenue right outside of the laundry mat. There Rich P explained how he sees the "real" reality when it comes to looking at the businesses in that area. Posted above you'll find our quick interview and conversation about owning businesses that serve our community.
